Please note: The fees listed below reflect typical flat-fee pricing for standard matters. Because every client’s situation is unique, final costs may vary depending on complexity, assets, and specific planning needs. Estate Planning Fee Schedule

Whether you are establishing foundational documents for the first time or building a comprehensive trust-based plan, Sandberg, Stettler, & White offers clearly defined, flat-fee packages that include everything you need, drafted, notarized, and explained in plain language.

Last Will & Testament Package: $1,200/Single; $1,750/Couple

Everything you need to establish a clear legal foundation for your estate. This package includes:

  • Last Will and Testament
  • Financial Power of Attorney
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney
  • Living Will
  • Personal Property Memorandum
  • Memorial Instructions

Power of Attorney Package: $450/Single; $600/Couple

For individuals and couples who need to establish or update their powers of attorney. This package includes:

  • Financial Power of Attorney
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney
  • Living Will
  • Notary Services

Driving time for notary services is billed separately at the IRS mileage reimbursement rate.

Revocable Trust Planning (Single Individual): $2,750

A comprehensive trust-based plan that protects your assets and provides clear direction for your loved ones. This package includes:

  • Revocable Trust
  • Pour Over Will
  • Certification of Trust
  • Funding Instructions
  • Personal Property Assignment
  • Personal Property Memorandum
  • Financial Power of Attorney
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney
  • Living Will
  • Memorial Instructions
  • Quit Claim Deed for One Parcel of Land

Additional parcels are billed at the standard hourly rate. Recording fees are billed separately.

Joint Revocable Trust Planning (First Marriage): $3,500

A streamlined trust solution for married couples in a first marriage whose planning goals are closely aligned. Please contact our office to confirm this package is the right fit for your circumstances.

Individual Revocable Trust Planning (Spouses): $4,500

For couples who benefit from maintaining separate trusts, including those in blended families or second marriages. One trust is created for each spouse. This package includes:

  • Individual Revocable Trust for Each Spouse
  • Pour-Over Wills
  • Certifications of Trust
  • Funding Instructions
  • Personal Property Assignments and Memorandums
  • Financial and Healthcare Powers of Attorney
  • Living Wills
  • Memorial Instructions
  • Quit Claim Deed for One Parcel of Land

Additional parcels are billed at the standard hourly rate. Recording fees are billed separately.

Medicaid Asset Protection Planning: $6,500

Designed to protect your home and assets from Medicaid spend-down requirements. This package includes:

  • Medicaid Asset Protection Trust
  • Pour-Over Will
  • Certification of Trust
  • Employer Identification Number for the Trust
  • Summary and Funding Letter
  • Tenancy Agreement
  • Financial Power of Attorney
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney
  • Living Will

Veterans Aid & Attendance Pension Planning: $6,500

We help qualifying veterans and surviving spouses access the VA Aid and Attendance benefit. Filing the VA application after planning is complete is provided at no additional charge. This package includes:

  • Veterans Asset Protection Trust (VAPT)
  • Pour-Over Will
  • Certification of Trust
  • Employer Identification Number for the Trust
  • Summary and Funding Letter
  • Instructions to Trustee Letter
  • Tenancy Agreement
  • Financial Power of Attorney

Special Needs Trust: $4,500

A carefully structured trust that preserves your loved one's eligibility for government benefits while providing meaningful financial support for their long-term care and quality of life. This package includes:

  • Special Needs Trust
  • Certification of Trust
  • Employer Identification Number for the Trust
  • Letter to Social Security and Medicaid
  • Reporting the Trust to Social Security and/or Medicaid, if required
  • Letter to Trustee
  • Notary Services

Probate Fee Schedule

Settling an estate can be one of the more demanding responsibilities a family faces. Sandberg, Stettler, & White manages the legal process with care and efficiency so your family can focus on what matters most.

Probate (Uncontested): $3,500 Flat Fee

A clear, all-inclusive fee for estates where heirs are in agreement. This fee covers:

  • Attorney Representation for the Executor or Executrix ($3,000, included)
  • Court Filing Fee ($375, included)
  • Publication of Notice to Creditors
  • Employer Identification Number for the Estate

Probate (Contested): Hourly

  • $350/hour
  • $5,000 Initial Retainer

Guardianship & Conservatorship: $4,625

This fee covers representation for both the petitioner and the incapacitated individual, and includes the initial inventory and first annual report filing. It breaks down as follows:

  • Attorney to Represent the Petitioner: $3,500 (included)
  • Attorney to Represent the Incapacitated Individual: $750 (included)
  • Court Filing Fee: $375 (included)

Additional services, priced separately:

  • Emergency Guardianship or Conservatorship Proceedings: $1,000 additional
  • Annual Status Updates and Financial Reports: $1,000 per year
  • Termination of Guardianship: $500

Standard Hourly Rate: $350 per hour

All services not covered by a flat-fee package, including work on additional parcels of real estate, are billed at our standard hourly rate of $350 per hour.
